Social Media Coordinator is a role I've had multiple times within my work experience. In high school, I began as a social media intern for a London-based fashion designer, Liz Nehdi. I conducted hashtag research, posted images promoting products on Pinterest, and did post optimization research as well. At Muslimgirl.com, I began as an intern on the social team and within a year I became the coordinator of that team. It was here that I gained experience in content strategy, not only planning daily social media posts, but also planning content for longer campaigns and launches such as the hat merch launch, Black Herstory Month, and #MuslimWomensDay. I also used my design and Adobe Photoshop skills to create social media content to post on Instagram and Facebook, and created branded templates to ease the content process. I expanded on my social media work at Nspired Media where I executed inbound Linkedin group marketing, managed a content calendar for a month-long campaign, posted daily on six accounts across three platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) and conducted more hashtag optimization research.
